About Me

Andy Westface

Hello, I’m Andy Westface — an illustrator from Hong Kong who’s passionate about creating emotionally rich visuals through simplicity.

Since childhood, drawing has always been part of my life. I used to doodle in textbooks, on desks, and anywhere I could find space. That playful curiosity eventually grew into a lifelong passion. Today, as a freelance illustrator, I cherish the freedom to create and the joy of sharing my work with others.

My artistic style is rooted in clean vector art. I use simple character designs, thoughtful composition, and vibrant colors to deliver powerful messages. I believe simplicity isn’t emptiness — it’s clarity. It’s the most direct way to express emotion and connect with others. Every piece I create reflects how I observe, feel, and imagine the world around me.

Animals and rainbows are recurring elements in my work. Animals represent innocence, sincerity, and individuality — they remind us how to be better humans. Rainbows symbolize hope, happiness, and the joyful spectrum of life. I love using these motifs to tell stories, evoke feelings, and connect with the softer parts of the human spirit.

Inspiration comes from everywhere: movies, music, news, conversations with friends, and the view outside my window. Even quiet moments — like sketching with a cup of green tea beside me — can spark new ideas. Whether it’s a single word or a quick sketch, I believe every small spark has the potential to grow into something meaningful.

I believe everyone has their own way of creating, expressing, and touching the world. Through my work, I hope you discover your own colors, your own stories, and maybe even a little inspiration to dream boldly.

Simple, sincere, and full of color — that’s the message I want to share with the world.

If you dare to dream it, go do it 🙂
